Ex- Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Patients
Prosecutors report that a ex- physician now faces charges for performing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
The Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
