Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The renowned video game developer passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
