Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conducted a visit to address national troops in the eastern front on Tuesday. Zelenskyy announced that he met with soldiers at the command post of the initial brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya zone, a town approximately 12 miles from Pokrovsk.

Volatile Circumstances in the Region

Recent mapping from a local initiative revealed that opposition armies had made gains into Pokrovsk and its environs, though significant areas was not fully held by both forces. The conditions are severe, with updates indicating that Russian forces were establishing defenses and building up positions in some districts.

Russian forces are making progress in the Pokrovsk front and seem to be functioning with enhanced confidence within Pokrovsk itself.

Analysts observed that Ukrainian forces had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya area, on the east side of the Pokrovsk campaign.

National Long-Range Assaults Deep Inside Russian Territory

Ukrainian long-range drones struck a factory approximately a considerable distance inside Russian territory at Sterlitamak. Local officials announced a detonation at the industrial complex that caused its water treatment facility to partially collapse, adding that the cause of the explosion was undetermined. Zelenskyy appealed to Washington to continue considering to providing Ukraine with far-reaching military equipment. Addressing a European Union summit from the Pokrovsk area, the Ukrainian president also demanded more global measures on the federation – including on Russia's gas and nuclear sectors – and said he wanted Ukraine to join the EU by the end of the 2020s.
